When you’re young, married, three little kids, and on a limited budget, a romantic dinner, alone with just your spouse at an expensive restaurant, would be considered a rare luxury—if not a down-right impossibility.
Which is why when Ryan Barnett received an invitation from Unicity for an evening out at a premier restaurant with just his wife—the offer was just too tempting to turn down. Little did he know that he was being set up to be awarded first place in the 180-Day Get Slim Challenge.
Just as Ryan and his wife, Candice, were getting settled at their table, into the room barged a camera crew with boom mic and lights and Unicity President Curt Hedges along with Unicity Vice President Clive Winn, a photographer, reporters, and a king-sized check for $15,000!
“I was surprised, let me tell you,” said Ryan, “It’s one those moments in life that I will never forget. I honestly didn’t know I was going to win first place. This is something that when I look back I’ll always remember!”
Candice was ecstatic with her husband’s achievement. “I’m so proud of him, for what this means for his health, our kids are able to play with him more and hopefully he will be around longer.”
For Ryan, it was a remarkable way to end a 180-day course correction in his life. When Ryan accepted the 180-day Get Slim Challenge he was almost a completely different person. He was 98 pounds heavier.
“Before Bios Life Slim, I didn’t even like waking up in the morning to put on my clothes because every time I put them on, it was a reminder of, ‘you got to lose weight, pal!’ It was a reminder of ‘all your clothes are tight,’ and ‘you’re uncomfortable.’ So every day it was a miserable to me and naturally my escape was going to McDonald’s to have a Big Mac meal and it was a vicious cycle.”

Feeling young and fabulous, Jenni shed 32 pounds after her 180-day journey with the Get Slim Challenge. She went from a size 14 to a size 6! Now she’s showing off her new curves and motivating all the moms out there that with the help of Slim it’s possible to be in shape even after having four kids!
“I want to share how I’m feeling now…the new me! Just in the last couple of weeks, I had a clothing line representative come to my house and never in a million years thought that I would be having a party where I tried on clothes. Elgie lost 40 pounds in 180 days and he is now able to play sports without feeling any pain and as you can see in his after picture, he is no longer ashamed of taking his shirt off!
